Niektóre realizacje od samego początku mają bardzo wyraźny kierunek. Tak było również w przypadku tego mieszkania.
Inwestorzy doskonale wiedzieli, jaką estetykę chcą osiągnąć. Bliski był im świat mid-century modern: szlachetne drewno, miękkie formy, ponadczasowe wzornictwo oraz wnętrza budowane wokół sztuki i starannie wyselekcjonowanych przedmiotów. Równie precyzyjnie określili swoje potrzeby funkcjonalne i sposób, w jaki chcą korzystać z przestrzeni na co dzień.
To jednak właśnie na etapie projektowym te założenia zostały rozwinięte, zweryfikowane i przełożone na spójną całość.
Centralnym punktem kuchni jest duża wyspa, wokół której koncentruje się codzienne życie mieszkańców. To miejsce spotkań, rozmów i wspólnego spędzania czasu, a jednocześnie główny element organizujący przestrzeń.
Istotną rolę odgrywa również wysoka zabudowa, zaprojektowana w taki sposób, aby zapewnić maksymalną funkcjonalność bez optycznego obciążania wnętrza. Mieści ona między innymi spiżarnię, lodówkę z zamrażarką oraz dodatkowe funkcje gospodarcze, a jej forma została świadomie podporządkowana proporcjom pomieszczenia.
Charakterystycznym elementem kompozycji są podświetlane witryny z ryflowanego szkła. Wprowadzają one lekkość do rozbudowanej zabudowy stolarskiej i pozwalają wyeksponować ceramikę oraz kolekcjonowane przez właścicieli przedmioty. Dzięki temu granica między funkcją użytkową a reprezentacyjną zaciera się, a kuchnia staje się integralną częścią całej strefy dziennej.
W duchu mid-century modern pojawiają się również zaokrąglone narożniki zabudowy i wyspy, które łagodzą geometrię wnętrza, nadając mu bardziej miękki i przyjazny charakter.
Some projects begin with a very clear vision. This apartment was one of them.
From the outset, the homeowners knew exactly what aesthetic they wanted to achieve. They were drawn to the world of Mid-Century Modern design: rich wood surfaces, soft and rounded forms, timeless furniture, and interiors shaped around art and carefully curated objects. They also had a clear understanding of their functional needs and how they wanted to use the space in their everyday lives.
The design process, however, allowed these initial ideas to evolve, mature, and ultimately come together as a cohesive whole.
At the center of the kitchen stands a generously sized island that naturally organizes daily life within the space. It serves as a place for gathering, conversation, and shared moments, while also becoming the focal point of the entire layout.
The tall cabinetry plays an equally important role. Designed to provide extensive storage and accommodate all essential functions, it remains visually balanced within the room rather than overwhelming it with its scale.
A distinctive feature of the composition is the illuminated display cabinetry finished with reeded glass. These glass-fronted units bring lightness to the larger built-in volumes while allowing ceramics and collected objects to be displayed as part of the interior itself. As a result, the boundary between utility and presentation becomes blurred, and the kitchen feels more like a curated living space than a purely functional work area.
Rounded corners, characteristic of Mid-Century Modern interiors, appear throughout the cabinetry and kitchen island, softening the geometry of the room and creating a more welcoming atmosphere.
Podobna filozofia towarzyszyła projektowaniu łazienki. Również tutaj funkcjonalność została połączona z odważniejszym podejściem do materiałów i detalu.
Jednym z najbardziej charakterystycznych elementów wnętrza są luksfery, które w nowoczesny sposób reinterpretują rozwiązania znane z architektury minionych dekad, jednocześnie budując ciekawą grę światła i prywatności. W zestawieniu z dopracowanymi materiałami wykończeniowymi oraz starannie dobraną kolorystyką tworzą przestrzeń o wyrazistym, indywidualnym charakterze.
Podobnie jak w kuchni, również tutaj istotną rolę odgrywa sztuka oraz przedmioty nadające wnętrzu osobisty wymiar. Dzięki temu łazienka staje się czymś więcej niż wyłącznie pomieszczeniem użytkowym. Jest konsekwentnym elementem całej historii tego mieszkania.
Ta realizacja jest doskonałym przykładem tego, że nawet bardzo świadomi inwestorzy, posiadający sprecyzowaną wizję swojego wnętrza, mogą wiele zyskać dzięki współpracy z projektantem.
Dobrze określone potrzeby stanowią świetny punkt wyjścia, jednak to dopiero proces projektowy pozwala połączyć wszystkie oczekiwania w harmonijną, estetyczną i ergonomiczną przestrzeń. Efektem jest wnętrze, które nie tylko odzwierciedla osobowość mieszkańców, ale przede wszystkim odpowiada na ich codzienne potrzeby i pozostaje funkcjonalne przez wiele lat.
W opinii Inwestorów to właśnie połączenie projektowego doświadczenia z ich własną wizją pozwoliło osiągnąć efekt, którego nie udałoby się uzyskać samodzielnie. To dla nas największe potwierdzenie, że dobry projekt to nie tylko estetyka, ale przede wszystkim świadomie zaprojektowana jakość życia.
The same design philosophy guided the creation of the bathroom. Here too, functionality is combined with a more expressive approach to materials and detailing.
One of the most distinctive features of the space is the use of glass blocks, reinterpreted in a contemporary way. They create an engaging play between light, privacy, and texture while subtly referencing architectural solutions associated with earlier decades. Combined with carefully selected finishes and a refined palette of materials, they contribute to an interior that feels highly individual and memorable.
As in the kitchen, art and carefully chosen objects play an important role in shaping the atmosphere. They add personality and depth, transforming the bathroom into more than a purely functional room and allowing it to become an integral part of the apartment’s overall narrative.
This project is a perfect example of how even highly aware clients with a strong vision can benefit from professional design guidance.
Having a clear understanding of personal preferences and requirements is an excellent starting point. Yet it is through the design process that individual ideas, practical needs, spatial relationships, and technical considerations are brought together into a harmonious whole.
The value of an interior designer lies not only in creating beautiful spaces, but also in ensuring that every decision contributes to the functionality, ergonomics, and long-term comfort of the people who will live there. These aspects are often difficult to evaluate independently, yet they have a profound impact on everyday life.
The homeowners repeatedly emphasized that while they began the project with a very clear vision, they would not have been able to achieve the same level of balance between aesthetics, functionality, and ergonomics on their own.
For us, this is the greatest confirmation that good design is about far more than appearance. It is about creating spaces that genuinely improve the quality of everyday living.
